Simple answer is

5160 - If you use it for music.
6500 - Is better all round.

Both have the same resolution screen. The 6500 has the better camera.

But, no hands on here either. I have a N95 8GB, and a SE P990i

Slide phones are crappy in my opinion. But if I had to choose one....

The 6500 is probably your best bet. Or an iPhone.

I actually have a sony W300I which is meh but a 4gig mem card allows it to double as a mp3 player so...GG. Choose function over form...

kewl lol im dont use my phone mainly for music prefer the functional part of it whts an ipod/mp4 for??? but xpress music looks better meh

.On the other hand,ive been reading really freaky reviews of the 6500 slide being full of bugs and problems while others full of praise for it so im not too sure

some of the issues ive read abt include:
1)scratching of the keys with frequent opening and closing of slide.
2)tones set themselves back to normal every now and then

I've had numerous slide phones, this has never been an issue before. A firmware upgrade would sort the tones.

nicee thx alot

my bad abt the tones it seems there is some catch with the design as when u take out the back cover it loses connection with the mem card.Only thing left now is the prices lol!!coz im tradin in my old phone.

PS:Still waiting to play GW

Avoid anything from LG, because the build quality sucks, as does the GUI.

Samsung have good build quality, but was never a big fan of their interface either.

kewl those sony ericssons are S40-java or S60-symbian(not sure if ther is sometin like that In SE but wht i mean to say are they smart phones?).If not do they have 16.7 million pixels screen of 2.2" and a 3.2mp camera?Sorry for putting these questions on u but my nets CRAWLING right now and its taking a hell lot of a time to load the sony ericsson home page.thanks for the suggestions.

The P series is the smart phone series. The K series have high res screens and 3MP cameras.

I have a P990i, it's a good phone (except the camera, that is appalling), but the phone is the size of a small house brick.

yup the camera's exactly wht im looking for but im afraid they dont have 16.7 million pixels screens they al have 252k like my 6233.Thanks for the suggestions though.

I've got the 5310 Xpress Music and it is in the same series, so most of the hardware and software should be similar?

Anyway, my 5310 has only hung once, it isn't very slow with 512MB worth of music in it and the sound quality is excellent.

Min you, this is the 5310, the non-3g super slim one, not the slide phone.
